In January 2019, Highgate Hotels selected Allied Builders as their design-assist partner for the extensive renovation of this landmark hotel.  Our team's proposal was selected for its creative scheduling and proven preconstruction expertise.  Initially scheduled to begin in 2019, the project faced multiple postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic and permit delays.  Despite these setbacks, our team re-commenced the guestroom renovations in November 2022 and achieved substantial completion by September 2023, an impressive 11-month timeframe.  We were also awarded an additional phase of updates to the public spaces and back-of-house facilities, which needed to be completed together with the guestrooms.  Despite the highly accelerated schedule and numerous challenges of an older building, the hotel opened on schedule and is now fully operational.
