Selected as the design assist contractor, Allied Builders System worked with HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union to align scope, design, and pricing early to protect budget and schedule for the headquarters renovation. With the bank branch and office remaining open throughout construction, work was kept largely out of public view through full height barricades, screened access, and strict dust control. Close collaboration with the design team was required to deliver high detail features, including engineered support for 480-pound wood slat panels suspended from the ceiling and extensive floor leveling for terrazzo installation.  Precision layout and welding allowed installation of a custom glass rail system which aligned perfectly with the tapa print wood panel seams below the glass finish. The new entry and lobby improved comfort and functionality and reinforced HawaiiUSA’s updated branding and Life Matters promise.
