King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel

West and east tower guestrooms were renovated and a variety of common areas refreshed. Renovations involved the replacement of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing fixtures, including new vertical fan coil units, lavatories and vanities, toilets and tubs, bathroom accessories, new tile in the bathrooms and all new case goods. The corridors were renovated along with the elevators. Due to the economic downturn, there were significant budget constraints. ABS worked closely with the owners and architects offering value-engineering ideas and was able to meet the owner’s expectations on scope, quality, schedule and costs. The hotel remained operational during the renovation. The success of the project required great teamwork.
