Allied Builders Joins the Fight Against Hunger in Hawaii

Following the excitement and fun of our first time competing in AIA Honolulu’s annual Canstruction® event, the creative and talented team of Allied Builders and MGA Architecture walked away proud.  Proud to join the fight against hunger in Hawaii and proud to have our entry recognized with the coveted Jurors’ Favorite award

The Green Ninja, aka The Chosen One, a popular Lego Ninjago character stood tall and strong amongst other sculptures representing this year’s theme of “Childhood Dreams”.  Our “chosen one” is the strongest of all the ninja, destined to fight evil – hunger in Hawaii – and save the world from a devastating fate.  Over 1,380 pounds of canned tuna was used to build the sculpture and donated to Hawaii Foodbank, providing needed food for our island ohana in need.

Special thanks and appreciation to our team of “allied builders”: Brian Godfrey (team captain), Gareth Gomez, Victor Han, Travis Kurosu, Ben Yoza, Lee George, and Andrew Tang of MGC Architecture for the CANcept and design.
